APWEN Inaugurates 11th chairman in Lagos, launches STEM book for kids

The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Lagos chapter has inaugurated her 11th chairman Engr. Bosede M. Oyekunle, Fnse to further promote and build Engineering projects and systems that will live for generations

The event which doubled as an Inauguration ceremony, Engineering summit, APWEN Excellence Award event and a STEM book launch Co-Authored by the incoming chairman and Zanzi Adebowale was held on Thursday in Lagos with the theme: “Bridging Gaps, Building Legacies”.While the incoming chairman, Engr. Bosede identified the event as a moment of transition, she expressed that the APWEN women are called to bridge the gaps in opportunity, access, knowledge, technology, leadership and representation.Keynote speaker, of the occasion, Executive Director, 1st Magnificent Energy Ltd, Engr. Rotimi Adefarasi, MNSE addressed the theme "Bridging gaps, building legacies", noting the importance of building legacies of the Engineering profession from grassroots and imbibing the right values on kids.The Association, gifted a cash prize of #500,000 to the best graduating student of Engineering, LASU as well as cas prizes to winners from the shenovation competition amongst others
